Require to have work as a plumber, mechanical pipefitter, heating fitter, gas fitter, or craftsman for at least two years.

Needs specific, productive talents and the ability to work as economically and efficiently as possible without supervision.

Able to plan projects using working drawings and specifications, obtain the supplies need for installation, and possess technical and managerial expertise beyond that of a plumber, mechanical pipefitter, heating fitter, gas fitter, or craftsman.

Relationship between JIB-PMES CSCS Registration and Grading

Cards of registration

• JIB-PMES CSCS Registration cards are accept as a national standard by the industry. Regulations issue by the CSCS state that an operative’s Registration Card color is solely base on their qualifications.
• Consequently, the card color can only be BLUE if the candidate has earned NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or an equivalent certificate. An applicant may apply for a GOLD card if they have earn an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification.

First-ever Grading

Choice to Upgrade

If you hold an equivalent certificate or a Level 2 NVQ, your grade as a plumber, mechanical pipefitter, heating fitter, gas fitter, or craftsperson will be the basic grade. Even so, you might think that your experience in the plumbing industry should get you a better Advance or Technician Grade, even with your Level 2 NVQ.
